Benson is a tender engine that is owned by the Ministry of Defense.
Bio
Benson first appeared in Parade where he addressed Edward and Peter at Fort Sudrian when the latter engine arrived with a goods train. His no-nonsense attitude immediately earned him some teasing from Edward. Benson informed Mr. Star about Edward's actions; and being a veteran himself; Edward was put on track maintenance duties as punishment.
Livery
Benson is painted in light brown livery, most likely due to his role in the military.
Basis
Benson is based on LNER Class B12. Alfred and The Purple Tender Engine are other members of this class.
Trivia
- The model used for Benson is essentially a reskin of SI3D's model of Alfred, but with Max/Monty's angry face.
- It is currently unknown if he'll have their other faces as well.
- Benson is the Stories of Sodor equivalent of Bluenose from TUGS.
