So people on Twitter had been memeing on Geoffrey on the 4th and 5th and it gave me inspiration to work on this silly video, featuring Victor Tanzig as Geoffrey: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Ufr9F2pMxQ
Been working on this custom DVD of the Stories of War https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_tehWSTosm8
Been stressful to work on. My goal is to try at least get this burned onto a DVD someday with it's own DVD Case.
Here's the custom DVD Cover I've made for the case too:
Since it's recently been confirmed Victor has completed half of the episodes of Season 5, I'll share my thoughts on what the five episodes will be about.
Vandalism - Not much to say here, but from what I've seen others speculate, it might be about Peter getting vandalized by Germans as they still hold a grudge against him for his war crime. I doubt an engine will get killed off in the opening episode, but I'm not ruling that out. The incident makes Peter wish he was still in Rail Gate, and he tries his best to keep himself from thinking about it.
Competition - I reckon this is tackling the rise of road transport on Sodor. Maybe it will work in classic episodes like Horrid Lorry and/or Bulgy into it.
Enthusiasts - I believe this will take elements from Edward's Exploit. While I don't think Victor would have Edward be severely damaged again after his head-on collision with Randolph back in Relationships, again, not holding that one out. The amount of money from the visiting enthusiasts might lead into the construction of the Arlesdale Railway, a minimum gauge railway that runs on the track bed of what was once the Mid-Sodor Railway. I assume the Small Railway will be built around this time because we see it in all the opening sequences of the Stories of Sodor up to this point, and I can see the events of the Small Railway Engines book happening in them. It is mentioned back in Books of Season 3 that some of Wilbert's stories would be real, too.
Rescued - My thoughts are this could be Barry being saved from scrap as his controller would save money on not giving him a Final Firing beforehand. Maybe Edward's accident in Enthusiasts would have Sir Topham Hatt purchase Barry to accommodate for the growing traffic on the Brendam Branch. I suppose this episode might adapt Super Rescue from the books, but with Peter instead of Henry. The vandalizing incident reminded Peter about his war crime, but his rescue of the two dead diesels proves him a hero and an Enterprising Engine. I know it's blasphemous to replace Henry as the main, given he is Victor's favorite character, but I feel Peter needs this moment to tie up the loose end in Vandalism.
Preservation - My guess is that this episode is going to be about Sir Topham Hatt taking in lots of Non-Faceless Steam Engines into the North Western Region as steam engines are going the way of the dinosaurs on the Mainland. Tensions between British Railways and the North Western Region grow with the Island still having steam engines in service and Sir Topham Hatt is not about to take all his steam engines into retirement as he has regarded them as his second family, along with the fact that without those steam engines and the Railway Series, Sodor would not be a big beacon for tourism that it is. The hostility between Sir Topham and BR could result in Sir Topham fighting for the North Western Region's independence from British Railways.
There are so many ways I can see these stories unfolding, too much for me to even write down. I'd like to hear what you all think about these five episodes. From what I've figured out, these stories almost write themselves.
This is all just speculation at the moment. After all, who's to say my ideas will or won't be included in the final product?
In this Sodor Answer we saw Sir Handel talking about relationships between non-faceless vehicles, the couples we saw were: Reginald and Sam, and Edward and Barry. Does this mean that in the future Edward and Barry will get married?
